The kids are playing outside today. Drawing pictures of the “monster” in the trees behind our house and collecting different kinds of leaves. I went out to check on them and Jett looks up at me with all seriousness and says, “Mom, whatever this is, it can eat a human!!”
Haha
I just love to see them using their imaginations. It’s wonderful.
These are they times when I am extra thankful that I have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom!
Last night we had the opportunity to do a “Spirit Night” at a location Chick-Fil-A that we are regular customers at:)
Last night from 5-8pm people had the opportunity to come eat awesome chicken and 10% of their purchase is going to our adoption!
Thank you to those who came to help support our adoption. We couldn’t do this without the support of all our friends and family:)
And thank you Chick-Fil-A for your generosity and awesome customer service.
Today I finished a dresser… It’s a 1950’s Bassett, excellent condition, painted Annie Sloan Old White with Florence Blue gradient drawers and sealed with clear wax.
It’s unique a funky and just what I love. Tempted to keep it for our daughters’ room but alas, it must go. For Sale for $190.
Not that anyone but me cares, but I found this years fall/winter shirt today!
For those who don’t know…I get 4 or 5 of the exact shirts every season and that’s about all I wear:) like a uniform:). Makes life that much easier. You should simplify, too:)
Today we got to go on a date-thanks to the in-laws.
Such a fun day. We hit up World Market and Chez Guavera (of course). Two of my favorite places. Then, on our way back we had to check out two train cars behind a lumber yard. They were awesome but tons of huge spiders on them.
Look how hot my husband is;) love that man:)
More art day fun. Water colors, clear glue and salt!
Art day at the Longnecker Academy.
Ada wanted to do school work with Adali today…..for 5 seconds;)
Love.
Every sign has a story or meaning. I painted this sunshine sign and wanted to write something thought provoking and inspiring on it. However, when I asked my oldest, Adali, what she thinks it should say, she said, “I think it should say ‘Be good and have fun’. I asked her why and she proceeded to tell me that sometimes her and her brothers forget to be good in the playroom.
I smiled and thought for a minute, then realized how perfect that was.
Tomorrow it will be hung in the playroom…right after I have her sign it.
Have I mentioned how much I love my kids? They’re pretty fantastic.
